Grow a Fiver
A few weeks ago, we shared news of our Year 6 pupils engaging in an enterprise project titled 'Grow a Fiver'.
Pupils were allocated £5 to spend on raw materials, considering their ‘customers’ in KS2, designing, marketing, making and selling their products. Thanks to the generosity of pupils and their parents, the group sales totalled £282.25, with a profit of £216.65! This was a huge success for all those involved and Year 6 are incredibly grateful to all those that supported their initiative.
As a result of their winnings, the group decided to spend their profits on the customer - as a small token of appreciation. Pupils bought playgroup equipment for years 3 - 6, including hoops, balls, skipping ropes, a basketball net, bean-bags and new rackets.
All of those involved would like to extend a special thanks to Mr Shields for enabling us to host the event and purchase the items that pupils chose. The year groups are really enjoying their playtime using their newly purchased items.
